About London Lo

Texas born, South Side of Chicago raised, singer-songwriter London Lo, started her relationship with music as a shy yet commanding dancer at the age of 3. She continued dancing throughout the years until she changed her expression from choreography to melody at her high school talent show when she was 17. That was the first time any of her family or friends heard her “powerful, yet soothing, angelic voice.” To her, a student of Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Jazmine Sullivan, Cece Winans, J Moss and Prince, it came as no surprise that she found a safe haven on the stage.

While in college, London Lo performed across Illinois and was featured as the only female singer in her writing/production group. During this time, she also released her own singles on YouTube which became popular songs on her campus of Southern Illinois University. As London Lo gained popularity, she was booked to open for artists such as Twista and King Louie. After graduating from college, she continued to pursue her music career through features with other artists, performing at clubs and local venues, singing the national anthem for local sports organizations, performing in stage plays, and singing background for touring artists such as Brownstone.

After a few years, London Lo began to focus more on the production side of music, writing for other artist and doing vocal production. Once she acquired experience behind the soundboard, she released her debut EP, Public Display of Artistry, also known as PDA. PDA is a 6-track acapella project that London Lo wrote, produced, and recorded herself. From this EP, she began performing across the nation from LA to New York and even across the pond in London, England. The project was received so well that she was booked to perform during SXSW Festival in Austin, TX. London Lo then released the single Clear My Mind from her forthcoming EP, which made its way to two of Chicago’s major R&B radio stations; Power 92 and WGCI. WGCI & AT&T also selected London Lo as one of Chicago’s On The Come Up artists. She then premiered her single Gone Off You on WGCI, this time selected as a the Next To Blow artist.

With the release of these singles, the anticipation surrounding her sophomore EP “Unfold” grew tremendously even with its 2020, mid pandemic, release. The artwork alone left people talking on Twitter, Clubhouse and Instagram. SIUC got wind of it and booked her as a headlining performer for their virtual summer concert series. Shortly after her EP release, she relocated to Los Angeles where she currently lives. After making a home out of LA, she did a live concert of tUnfold in its entirety hosted by Veeps, selling out of the accompanying merch.

Since relocating, she has been invited to several industry writing camps that resulted in some of her first sync placements. London was also booked to sing background for Snoh Aalegra on the LA dates of her “Ugh, Those Temporary Highs” tour. Currently, she’s working on her third EP and already has her first two singles ready for release.
